Two NIH-funded postdoctoral positions are available in Dr. Stanimir Ivanov’s laboratory for highly motivated candidates with research interest in microbial pathogenesis. We investigate the host subversion and immune evasion mechanisms of bacterial pathogens, such as Legionella pneumophilla and Neisseria gonorrhoeae, with emphasis on the biogenesis of the cellular niches that support bacterial replication in the host.

Successful candidates will have a recent Ph.D. in microbiology, immunology or cell biology. Good command of the English language is required. Prior research experience in microbial pathogenesis will be a plus. Candidates at both junior and senior levels are encouraged to apply.
