We are looking for a talented postdoctoral candidate interested in the field of Fibrosis and Aging to join the lab of Dr. Sureshbabu Angara. Norton Thoracic Institute is affiliated with Arizona State University located in the beautiful Phoenix, United States. Our lab investigates how changes in DNA and RNA modifications contribute to senescence associated pulmonary and kidney fibrosis. We utilize single cell sequencing technologies, mouse models and cell culture models relevant to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and chronic kidney disease with the goal of developing novel therapeutic strategies for precision medicine.

We use mouse surgery models, mouse genetic tools and high throughput sequencing techniques such as RNA seq, ATAC seq, Me-RIP seq etc. We also employ biochemical, molecular, and cell biology assays, as well as DNA and RNA methylation assays to explore underlying mechanisms for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and kidney fibrosis. Postdoctoral candidate will get an unique opportunity to be exposed to research techniques in the forefront of various fields.
