Case Western Reserve University Postdoctral Position
Postdoctoral position in Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences at Case Western Reserve University
We are interested in a fundamental question in cell biology: how do our cells defend the integrity of our DNA? This is related to many human diseases such as cancer, premature aging, neurodegeneration, etc. Further, signaling pathways responding to and repairing DNA damage hold the promise of being developed into effective therapeutic strategies, for instance, in cancer treatment.
We use pharmacological, biochemical, structural and genetic tools to understand molecular mechanisms underlying the DNA damage response, and their implications in the pathogenesis of human diseases including cancer and abnormal aging. We are also interested in translating that knowledge into therapeutic strategies towards cancers. (http://pharmacology.case.edu/department/Faculty/Primary/Labs/Zhang/Default.aspx)
Self-motivated individuals who have a PhD degree are encouraged to apply. Strong background in biochemistry (Western blotting, immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, etc) and molecular (PCR, cloning and vector generation) and cellular (cell culture, transfection, and so on) biology is required.
Interested applicants should forward their CV and a list of three references through email to:
