"Multiple" postdoctoral positions in the Department of Neuroscience
Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, FLORIDA
MAYO CLINIC DEPARTMENT OF NEUROSCIENCE is internationally recognized for academic excellence in the neurodegenerative disorders. Scientists within the neuroscience department have strong expertise in neurogenetics, neuropathology, animal disease modeling, neuroinflammation, and experimental therapeutics. The Department hosts the NIH-designated Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and the Udall Center of Excellence for Parkinson’s Disease Research.
Kim lab introduction
The broad interest of Kim lab is to understand the pathogenic mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease and other related neurodegenerative diseases and to identify novel therapetuic targets. Current research efforts aim to understand the roles of Apolipoprotein (ApoE) and ApoE-regulating proteins, such as ABCA1 and LDLR, in Alzheimer’s disease. We are also interested in studying the role of microRNAs and lncRNAs in Alzheimer’s disease, other neurodegenerative diseases, brain aging, obesity, and cardiovascular diseases.
