We are seeking a recent graduate and motivated individuals with PhD in Immunology to join our studies on mucosal immunology. The applicants should have at least 1-2 immune related published articles and have recently graduated or expect to graduate soon.
Description
A post-doctoral positions are available in my laboratory to study immunoregulatory pathways that control the innate and adaptive immune responses involved in the pathogenesis of allergic disease and asthma. This position will be focused on defining molecular and cellular mechanisms, integrate cutting edge molecular technologies with traditional cell and molecular biology based approaches. We are seeking highly motivated and collaborative individuals capable of independent reasoning and excited about learning new technologies. The candidates should have excellent writing and communication skills and familiar with techniques such as multi color flow cytometry, cell isolation, tissue culture, ELISA, RT-PCR, animal handling and preferably measuring airway hyperreactivity. This job is open only for recent graduate applicants with PhD or applicants that expect to graduate from PhD program soon. Applicants should have at least one or two immune related published articles preferably related to mucosal immunology and airway inflammation.
The laboratory is located in the recently built Norris Research Tower, Keck School of Medicine with full time access to excellent facilities in the department and the University. The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art research facilities and equipment including latest flow cytometry analyzers, flow cytometry and magnetic sorters and multi laser confocal/convolution microscopy.
