A Postdoctoral position is available immediately for a highly motivated individual to study lung alveolar epithelial cell biology (including stem/progenitor cells) in the context of injury, repair and fibrosis. Requirements include a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree with experience in cell and molecular biology. It is preferred that the candidate has experience with analysis of animal models (including lineage tracing in transgenic mice) as well as familiarity with FACS and at least 2-3 years of research experience after graduation. Under Dr. Borok’s guidance and in collaboration with members of the Will Rogers Institute Pulmonary Research Center, the successful applicant will spearhead NIH-funded research project(s) and develop the ability to work independently. The position comes with opportunities for advancement to Senior Research Associate and Assistant Research Professor level.
