Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Postdoctoral Position
Postdoctoral fellows – electrophysiology and calcium imaging in behaving rodents
We invite applications for two postdoctoral positions in the laboratory of Dr. Ayumu Tashiro in Warwick-NTU Neuroscience research program, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Our work focuses on the function of hippocampal circuitry through a multi-disciplinary approach combining virus-mediated genetic manipulation, optogenetics, behavioral analysis and unit recording techniques in behaving rodents.
Successful candidates will examine the mechanisms underlying place-cell activity in the rodent hippocampus, using a combination of virus-mediated genetic manipulation and unit recording (Kitanishi et al., Neuron, 86: 1265-1276, 2015) or calcium imaging (Ziv et al., Nature Neurosci., 16: 264-266, 2013).
To apply for the positions, please send your C.V., the contact information of 2-3 referees and a description of why you are interested in and a good fit to these positions by email to ayumu.tashiro@gmail.com.
