Applications are invited for Postdoctoral Researchers to join Dr. Xiang Zhou’s research group in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Michigan. Research in the Zhou lab focuses on the development of statistical methods and computational tools for the analysis of large-scale and high-dimensional biological data from genetic association studies and high-throughput functional genomic sequencing studies. Recent work includes: Bayesian hierarchical models to quantify genome-wide inheritance, Bayesian sparse regression models for risk/phenotype prediction, mixed effects models to control for population stratification, multivariate models to jointly analyze multiple correlated phenotypes, differential expression analysis, QTL mapping and allelic specific expression analysis. Applicants should have, or be studying for, a PhD in statistics, biostatistics, computer science, bioinformatics, computational biology, or related quantitative discipline. A strong computational background is required. Applicants should send a CV, a short research statement, and names of three referees to xzhousph@umich.edu.
