University of Pennsylvania Postdoc募集
Two Postdoctoral positions and one visiting scholar/student position are available immediately. The projects are supported by NIH/NCI (R01CA142776, 2010-2015; and Ovarian Cancer SPORE program, 2009-2014).
My laboratory has a major focus on breast and ovarian cancer biology, cancer genome and epigenome deregulation (microRNA and non-coding RNA), cellular and molecular biology of embryonic stem cells as well as cancer biological therapy. Three transgenic and two knock-out animal models on non-coding RNAs and their related protein coding genes have been generated recently in my lab. A custom-designed non-coding RNA microarray platform will be used to characterize regulatory RNA function in cancer. The projects will focus on: 1) non-coding RNA deregulation and function in ovarian and breast cancers; 2) epigenome alteration in ovarian and breast cancer and its clinical application; 3) development of genetic animal model (transgenic and knock-out) for epithelial ovarian cancer; and 4) development of small molecular compounds for cancer therapy and imaging.
The University of Pennsylvania’s School of Medicine is ranked #2 in the US for receipt of National Institutes of Health funds, and ranked #4 in the nation in U.S. News & World Report’s most recent ranking of top research-oriented medical schools. We are seeking candidates who are self motivated and career-oriented to join an exciting highly interactive research team.
