Medical College of Wisconsin Postdoc募集
POSTDOC research positions are available immediately to explore cell-extrinsic tumor suppressive signaling in medullary thyroid cancer (MTC). Raf/MEK/ERK-mediated growth arrest and senescence is widely accepted as a cellular defensive response against tumorigenesis. Interestingly, this pathway can mediate growth inhibition in MTC by activating the JAK/STAT pathway through expression and secretion of the cytokine leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF). Projects will focus on (i) identifying the molecular mechanisms underlying this tumor suppressive signaling and (ii) evaluating therapeutic potential of LIF in MTC. Individuals interested in learning more can visit the webpage at http://www.mcw.edu/biochemistry/Jong_In_Park.htm
Applicants should have a strong background in molecular and cellular biology, and possess excellent analytical skills and high motivation. Prior experiences in the following areas will be highly valued: (i) Cancer cell biology study using murine xenograft models and immunostaining of tissues/cells and (ii) Cell signaling study using immunoprecipitation/blotting and/or subcellular localization. Qualified candidates should send your curriculum vitae, a cover letter describing your background, research interests and career goals, and contact information of three professional references to Dr. Jong-In Park at jipark@mcw.edu.
