アメリカはセントルイスにあるWashington University医学部のDr. Emily Chengが日本人ポスドク（数名）を募集しています。

Postdoctoral positions are available for highly motivated individuals interested in apoptosis and BCL-2 family. Our laboratory focuses on uncovering the critical steps in survival/death decisions and defining the molecular processes that regulate death molecules (see Molecular Cell 36: 487-499; Nature Cell Biology 8:1348-1358; Science Signaling 2: ra48; Science 301:513-517). The successful candidates will apply biochemical, proteomics, and genetic approaches to study the fundamental mechanisms of programmed cell death.
A Ph.D. with a strong background in molecular/cellular biology, biochemistry, or mouse genetics, and a good publication record is required.

アポトーシス、ネクローシスの分子メカニズムを分子レベルからマウス個体まで様々なアプローチで研究している研究室です。Dr. Stanley Korsmeyer研究室から独立して、ここ数年は特に順調に研究が進んでおり、論文もグループからNature Cell Biology、PNAS、Molecular Cell、Science Signalingなどのトップジャーナルに、共同研究でNature等に掲載されています。Dr. ChengはDistinguished Investigator Award in 2010（Washington University）に選ばれているほかThe American Sciety for Clinical Investigationのメンバーにも選出されており、研究費も複数の大型グラントを順調に獲得、更新しています。共同研究者のDr. James Hsiehと合同研究室を運営しており（2人で1.5研究室を運営）、研究テーマは別扱いですが実験室（機器、試薬、スペース）、セミナー、Journal Clubは共有しているため、共同研究として論文数を増やすチャンスも大きいです。この研究室出身として、留学に関する出来る限りのサポートをします。海外学振の応募先として考慮される方もどうぞ。その場��合には書類作成のお手伝いもします。Cheng-Hsieh研究室には現在、日本人が一人在籍しているのでスムーズに環境に馴染めると思います。
