With the recent award of two NIH grants, each of 5 years duration, we are seeking to fill a post-doctoral position in our laboratory. The successful candidate will participate in studies that examine the interaction of dendritic cells with airway epithelial tight junctions and determine the molecular properties of the tight junction proteins that facilitate dendritic cell transmigration. Data generated in vitro will be confirmed and supported by experiments conducted in knockout mice. A strong background in cell and molecular biology as well as an interest in lung immunology and biology is required.
