A Postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology, Department of Medicine, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) to investigate the function and mechanisms of immune suppression and immunosurveillance against colon cancers and ovarian cancer. Current projects in the laboratory involve evaluating the function of costimulatory molecules in transplanted and spontaneous mouse cancer models, and regulatory functions of immune suppressor cells such as regulatory T cells and myeloid-derived suppressor cells to search immediate potentials for clinical trial. The successful candidate should have a PhD degree in immunology or a related field. The expertise skills in small animal handling and surgery and flow cytometry are essential. Candidates with expertise skills in cell culture, basic molecular biological and biochemistrical knowledge and techniques will be preferred.
