Applications are now being accepted for a postdoctoral fellow position to study the role of molecular chaperones and protein aggregation in basic biology and in relation to human diseases. The Medical College of Georgia is a premier research university located in Augusta, Georgia.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree from an accredited university. Experience in molecular biology and mammalian cell/tissue culture are required. Familiarity with histology and mouse models in the area of protein misfolding diseases is a plus. Competency is expected in using MS Office, Endnote, Adobe Photoshop and web-based tools. Highly motivated individuals with a strong willingness to learn, creative problem solving capabilities and paying attention to detail are preferred. Ability to work independently as well as in a cooperative manner with the supervisor and other members of the lab to develop, organize and complete research projects is expected.
