The project focuses on the mechanisms of intracellular signaling controlling neuronal survival and apoptosis, as well as de/regeneration after injury. Project 1: Regulation of small G proteins during myelination. Project 2: Signaling mechanisms that regulate mitochondrial homeostasis after injury. Project 3: Role of MAP kinases in axonal transport (use confocal live imaging). Techniques used: molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, proteomics, spinal cord injury.
