Postdoctoral Fellow in Neurodegenerative disease

Applications are now being accepted for a postdoctoral fellow position to study the role of molecular chaperones and protein aggregation in neurodegenerative diseases. The Medical College of Georgia is a premier research university located in Augusta, Georgia.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree from an accredited university. Experience in molecular biology, protein biochemistry/biophysics and mammalian cell/tissue culture methods are required. Familiarity with mouse models and histology in the area of neurodegeneration are a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are essential. Competency is expected in using MS Office, Endnote, Adobe Photoshop and web-based tools. Highly motivated individuals with creative problem solving capabilities and paying attention to detail are preferred. Ability to work independently as well as in a cooperative manner with the supervisor to develop, organize and complete research projects is expected.
