Northwestern University ポスドク募集
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Jianhua Cang to study the neural basis of visual cortical development. Our laboratory is located in the Evanston Campus of Northwestern University, which is less than 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, overlooking Lake Michigan.
In our laboratory, we aim to discover the synaptic basis of experience-dependent maturation of cortical circuits, and to reveal the molecular mechanisms underlying the establishment of precise maps in the visual cortex (Cang et al., 2005a: Neuron, 48:4, 577-89, Cang et al., 2005b, Neuron, 48:5, 797-809), using in vivo electrophysiology, optical imaging, anatomy, molecular biology and genetic techniques. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in one or more of these areas.
Interested individuals should send a brief statement of research interests and career goals, a CV, and the names and contacts for three references by e-mail to Dr. Jianhua Cang, cang@northwestern.edu.
