POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW - DIABETES, VANCOUVER CANADA
A funded postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Cellular and Physiological Sciences at the University of British Columbia (UBC). We are investigating new gene and cell therapy approaches to treat diabetes, with areas of interest including beta-cell regeneration and stem cell approaches. The Laboratory of Molecular and Cellular Medicine is located within the new Life Sciences Centre and provides exceptional space and resources. Applicants must have a PhD or MD, a strong background in the field of diabetes or obesity, relevant publications, excellent communication and organizational abilities and the ability to work as part of a team. Previous experience in pancreas development, stem cell biology, cell culture, molecular biology, viral vectors, gut peptides, or assessment of energy expenditure in rodents will be an asset!
