1. Postdoctoral Research Scientist
A highly motivated molecular biologist is sought to conduct research in the fields of embryogenomics and proteomics as a postdoctoral research scientist at the Mississippi State University for Fall 2006 or Spring 2007.
Successful candidates with strong self-motivation should have a Ph.D. in molecular, cellular and developmental biology, biochemistry or related areas, an excellent academic record and solid training in molecular and cellular biology. Experience in the following areas is preferred: techniques in molecular/cellular/developmental biology such as real time RT-PCR, DNA microarrays, molecular cloning, proteomics, genomics, cell culture and transfections, IVF, micromanipulation of oocytes and embryos, and microscopy. Additional preference includes working effectively with minimal supervision, high degree of organizational skills as well as both written and oral communication skills.

2. Ph.D. student fellowship
An assistantship is available to conduct research in the field of molecular embryology and animal functional genomics.
The candidates with strong self-motivation should have an excellent academic record and solid training in molecular, cellular and developmental biology or related areas. Successful candidates should be interested in learning and applying a variety of techniques in molecular/cellular biology and embryology such as real time RT-PCR, SAGE, proteomics, IVF, micromanipulation of oocytes and embryos, and microscopy. Preferred qualifications include an MS in biology, biochemistry, cell biology, animal science or in related fields.
